Congratulations go to the following managers for their fantastic performances so far in the Fantasy League. They have shown the impressive ability to spot top talent and have pulled some shrewd moves in the transfer market even at this early stage.
S1 – 1m1 Register Class - Mains FC
S2 – Andrew Lawson - Andrew’s XI
S3 – Davis Cummings - The Tangerine Dream
S4 – Kevin McKenzie - Arabs FC
S5/6 – Michael Smith - Football’s Elite
If your name isn’t on this list then you should probably consider the ‘hairdryer’ team talk to get your team moving up the Leagues. Good luck for next month! Mr Baird

Under 14 Football
Morgan recorded their third consecutive victory in the League last night. They defeated Baldragon 5-3 at DISC. The match was played in very cold conditions and both teams did their best to make it an enjoyable spectacle for the dedicated fans who braved the bad weather. Morgan also did their best to keep the match exciting and to increase the stress of the management team by letting a five goal lead slip near the end!
It has been a fantastic 100% start this year and we hope to continue our fine form into 2009.

Stobswell Community Christmas Tree
The lights on the Stobswell Community Christmas tree were switched on last night in a very pleasant gathering. As many of you will have already seen, the tree, a Norway spruce, looks excellent with its coloured lighting on. Quite a number of people from Stobswell community turned out for the event as well as staff, pupils and parents from Morgan and our three primary schools. Well done to Clepington, Glebelands and Dens Road Primary School pupils for their musical input as well as our own brass ensemble and Morgan singers for providing the musical accompaniment to the carol singing. Santa was also present and MEP Mr Ian Hudghton did the countdown to switching on the lights. The event was rounded off with hot mince pies and warm drinks provided in Stobswell church courtesy of the congregation. Our thanks go to the local councillors, Liz Fordyce and Ken Lynn who organised the event, Reverend McLaren for his input and Stobswell Church for the refreshments. Thank you also once again to the members of our own brass ensemble and to Mrs Simpson and Mr Murphy who organised and accompanied them as well as other staff and pupils who attended from Morgan.
